Wwin Liga BiH
HŠK Zrinjski 4
FK Sarajevo 3
We continued our hunt for the leading team Borac and the fight to defend the champion title with a sixth consecutive league triumph, this time defeating Sarajevo in Mostar (4:3).
In a very interesting and eventful match where rain posed significant challenges to the players throughout the ninety minutes, spectators witnessed a total of seven goals. Interestingly, the Plemići (Zrinjski) had a three-goal advantage as early as the 21st minute. Silvio Ilinković opened the scoring from the top of the penalty area in the 10th minute, followed by Mario Ćuže converting Nemanja Bilbija’s assist into a goal four minutes later. Then, Ilinković concluded Zrinjski’s excellent start with his second goal.
Many surely thought the question of the winner was settled at that point, but the guests did not give up. In the injury time of the first half, Hamza Čataković managed to reduce the deficit to two goals.
In the second half, the guests became even more offensive, and their strategy paid off in the 54th minute when Renan Oliviera, who entered the game at the start of the second half, scored to make it 3:2.
Interestingly, Zrinjski practically restored the two-goal lead in the next attack, with captain Bilbija scoring after a corner kick.
The excitement didn’t end there, as the guests managed to score a third goal in the 86th minute through Nemanja Anđušić, but there were no more goals until the end of the match.
With this win, we maintained a five-point gap behind the leading Borac, and in the next round, we face an away game against Posušje.
