REPORT | FK Sloga 0:2 HŠK Zrinjski

Four days after securing a place in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup final with a triumph (3:0) in Mostar, Zrinjski played another match today against Sloga, the fourth in the continuation of the season and the third in Modriča.

After two draws – first in the league (1:1), and then in the first leg of the Cup semifinal (0:0), today we finally secured a victory with a 2:0 result, reducing the gap behind the leading team, Borac, to four points. Whether we will remain at the same deficit after the outcome of this round will be known after tonight’s visit to the leader at Koševo.

Similar to the previous matches in Modriča, today’s game was tough with few chances, and we took the lead in the 54th minute when our captain Nemanja Bilbija headed in after a corner kick from Antonio Ivančić.

In the 77th minute, Bilbija scored his second goal of the match, this time from a penalty kick after Matija Malekinušić was fouled, and there were no further goals until the end of the game.

In the next round, we face a home challenge against Sarajevo.
