Draw against Slaven Belupo before returning to Mostar

In their farewell to the central part of preparations in Sveti Martin na Muri, the Nobles played a new friendly match in Cvetkovec near Koprivnica against Croatian top-tier team Slaven Belupo, ending in a draw (2:2).

This was our fourth test in the preparation period following a loss to Vllaznia (0:1) and Lokomotiva (1:3), and a victory against Zorya (2:1). Our last preparation match before the European start will be against Željezničar on July 18th.

We made three changes compared to the Zorya match, starting with Goran Karačić, Tarik Ramić, and Matija Malekinušić instead of Marko Marić, Igor Savić, and Besart Abdurahimi.

Early in the match, Tomislav Kiš and Hrvoje Barišić had good chances, but Slaven Belupo scored first through former Sarajevo player Ivan Jelić Balta, who headed in a set-piece by Robert Murić.

We equalized just four minutes later when Mario Ćuže finished a nice play with an assist from Kiš.

The first half ended 1-1, and early in the second half, Slaven Belupo regained the lead with another goal from Jelić Balta.

Similar to the Zorya match, our coaching staff made widespread changes in the second half, and we capped off a better performance with a debut goal from Frano Mlinar in the 86th minute. Before that, Besart Abdurahimi hit the post after a solo effort.

Immediately after the match, the Nobles traveled back to Mostar by bus, and after two days of rest, they will resume training on Monday.
