Fan Club Ultras Zrinjski Mostar

The Ultras-Zrinjski fan club was officially founded in 1998, while as an unregistered supporters’ group, the Ultrasi have been following Zrinjski since 1994, during the matches against NK Mladost Dubint in the playoffs for the champion of Herzeg-Bosnia.

As early as 1993, just a year after the reestablishment of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, the idea of launching a supporters’ group aimed at organized cheering at the Nobles’ matches began to take shape in the minds of the fans. During this time, the idea emerged to name the most passionate Zrinjski supporters “Ultras.”

Although there were those who opposed this name, eventually, the name Ultras became rooted for the most fervent Zrinjski fans, who started gathering on the eastern stand of the HŠK Zrinjski Stadium, known as the “Standing Tribune.” It should be noted that the Ultrasi cheered for their team from the central stand (lower west) during the first home game at the Mostar stadium, namely in the championship playoff final against NK Mladost Dubint (NK Široki Brijeg).

Since 2000, at the end of each competitive season, the KN Ultras-Zrinjski Mostar awards recognition to the Zrinjski football player who has stood out the most during the season with their dedication, behavior on the field, and attitude towards the fans. The first trophy, then named “Zrinjevac,” was awarded at the initiative of the Zrinjski Supporters’ Society from Vienna. Since 2004, the award has been named the “Filip Šunjić – Pipa Trophy” in honor of the tragically deceased member of the fan club.

Since 2008, KN Ultras-Zrinjski Mostar has also organized a supporters’ indoor soccer tournament called “Volim te bola”, primarily intended as a gathering for all “Ultras.” The entire proceeds from the tournament are exclusively dedicated to ongoing humanitarian actions in which the “Ultras” help those in most need at the time.
