On this day, 32 years ago, the Croatian Sports Club Zrinjski Mostar resumed its operations!
After nearly half a century of being banned, on August 4, 1992, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar continued to write its history. Today, we proudly celebrate what is undoubtedly the most significant date in the modern history of our club.
Less than two months after resuming operations, on September 30, 1992, Zrinjski played its first match in Imotski against NK Croatia Zmijavci (1:2). Interestingly, the first goal scorer was the current head coach of the Nobles, Mario Ivanković.
Today, HŠK Zrinjski is a record eight-time champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a three-time winner of the BiH Cup, and the first Bosnian club to qualify for the group stage of a UEFA competition. All of this is thanks to those who, 32 years ago, understood the importance of a club whose activities had been banned for 47 years.
Zrinjski is life and more than that! It will live in us as long as the Neretva flows…
