We reached the quarterfinals of the BiH Cup with victories against Čelik (6:0) and Slavija (3:0), and the path to the new semifinal in the competition where we defend the title from last season leads through another lower-league team – NK Jedinstvo Bihać.
Bihać’s team is the only lower-league team that has reached the quarterfinals of the BiH Cup, having eliminated Kozara (2:1) and GOŠK (0:0, 4:2 after penalties).
The last time Jedinstvo played in the top tier was in the 2007/2008 season, meaning it’s been almost sixteen years since our last visit to the city on the Una River.
Considering the great distance to Bihać and the fact that we have an away game against Sloga in Modriča on Saturday, coach Željko Petrović decided to take all players on the trip except for the injured Silvio Ilinković. Our team will not return to Mostar after today’s match but will instead head straight to Modriča and await Saturday’s match in the battle for points.
The match at the Pod borićima Stadium is scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m., with Antonio Tomić from Kreševo as the main referee.
