WWin League BiH: Zrinjski triumphed in the derby against Željezničar

We recorded our fourth league victory with a 2-0 win away at Željezničar, successfully navigating the derby at Grbavica after a home draw against Borac (1-1) in the previous round.

This marks our seventh triumph at Grbavica and our fourth in the last five matches.

Despite missing several players this evening—Toni Šunjić, Slobodan Jakovljević, Kerim Memija, Tarik Ramić, Ivan Posavec, Tomislav Kiš, and the previously injured Nemanja Bilbija—Mario Ivanković’s team played probably their best match of the season, rightfully securing important points.

After a tough first half with no real chances, Zrinjski dominated the second half, scoring through Nardin Mulahusejnović and Marijan Ćavar. Mulahusejnović found the net in the 66th minute after a pass from Fran Topić, while Ćavar scored his first goal in the Nobles’ shirt in the second minute of stoppage time, assisted beautifully by Matija Malekinušić.

Prior to the goals, Mario Ćuže and Mulahusejnović both had clear chances, created by Ćavar, while Željezničar’s best opportunity to equalize came in the 83rd minute when Samir Radovac hit the crossbar.

Zrinjski will play their next league match on Tuesday, facing Široki Brijeg in the Hercegovina derby at home.
