HŠK Zrinjski
New round, new derby! After drawing against Borac (1:1), we are set for an away match at Grbavica against Željezničar tomorrow.
Our great sporting rival, with whom we’ve had intense battles for the championship title in recent seasons, has had a good start to the new league after a disappointing last season, earning 13 points in the first six rounds. The Blues suffered a home defeat against Široki Brijeg (0:1), secured a victory against Igman (3:1), and drew with Sloga (1:1). On their three away matches, they celebrated victories against Velež (2:1), Sloboda (1:0), and GOŠK (3:0).
Denis Ćorić, our former player, took over as head coach of Željezničar before the season. He has experience from leading Široki Brijeg, GOŠK, and Posušje. Compared to last season, the team has been strengthened with several new players, among whom 27-year-old Macedonian Matej Cvetanovski, former Široki Brijeg player Stipo Marković, and defender Marko Karamarko have quickly established themselves.
After Josip Ćorluka’s return to the pitch in the match against Borac, the coaching staff is expected to have Antonio Ivančić available tomorrow, who has been sidelined due to injury since the match against Vitória in Guimarães.
Referees
The main referee for tomorrow’s derby at Grbavica will be Aleksandar Njegomirović (Prnjavor), assisted by Arnel Novalić (A1, Doboj Istok), Sreten Udovičić (A2, Prijedor), and Mario Pejić (4, Grude). In the VAR room will be Ermin Sivac (Zenica) and Stefan Tešanović (Istočno Sarajevo).
