WWin Liga BiH: Season Opener Victory in Gabela

HŠK Zrinjski Mostar kicked off the new season with an away victory against GOŠK.

Despite an early goal from Besart Abdurahimi in the 1st minute, which was set up by Tomislav Kiš, the first half saw a drop in performance, allowing GOŠK to equalize through Ivan Ikić in the 37th minute. This was shortly after Slobodan Jakovljević had to leave the field due to injury.

At halftime, coach Mario Ivanković made two substitutions, bringing on Josip Ćorluka and Matija Malekinušić for Kerim Memija and Mario Ćuže.

Malekinušić assisted Kiš in the 51st minute to regain the lead, and Nardin Mulahusejnović headed in a goal from a Mario Tičinović cross ten minutes later.

GOŠK was reduced to ten men in the 77th minute after Dina Mizić received his second yellow card. Antonio Prskalo sealed the win in the 84th minute, scoring shortly after coming on as a substitute.

Zrinjski now turns its attention to the upcoming challenge of the return leg against Botev on Thursday.
