Frano Mlinar is the new player of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar

The experienced 32-year-old midfielder joins the Nobles as a free agent and has signed a two-year contract with Zrinjski. He immediately joined the team’s preparations in Sveti Martin na Muri.

“Playing for this club is a great honor for me, and it also carries a great deal of responsibility because playing for Zrinjski implies the highest ambitions that need no explanation. I know very well that high standards are set here regarding the badge, teammates, fans, and the entire city, and all of this greatly motivated me to come,” Mlinar said in his first interview for HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.

Born in Zagreb, he spent most of his career in the Croatian First Football League (HNL), where he made nearly 250 official appearances.

He began his career in Dinamo Zagreb, where he debuted at the age of 18, and he gained recognition playing for Inter Zaprešić, from where he transferred to Udinese at the age of 21.

As a player for the Italian club, he was loaned to Swiss club FC Aarau, spent a season in Hungarian club Mezőkövesd, and for the past six seasons, he played in Croatia – first for Lokomotiva and Slaven Belupo, and the last three seasons for NK Istra 1961.

Frano, welcome to HŠK Zrinjski Mostar! We wish you many successful appearances in the sash jersey!
