Zrinjski faces Botev tonight in a battle for the play-offs

A new European night in Mostar brings us the second leg of the third qualifying round for the UEFA Conference League against Bulgaria’s Botev.

Seven days ago in Plovdiv, Dušan Kerkez’s team won 2-1, so tonight’s match starts with a one-goal deficit, just as it did 14 days ago in Ljubljana against Bravo (3-1).

The stakes are high—advancing to the play-offs and facing, almost certainly, Portugal’s Vitória, given that the team from Guimarães won 3-0 as guests against Switzerland’s Zürich in the first match.

Unlike Zrinjski, who played in Gabela on Sunday, Botev’s players had no obligations last weekend, as their league match against Ludogorets was postponed.

Good luck, Nobles!

Referees

The referees for tonight’s match come from the Republic of Ireland, led by 33-year-old Rob Hennessy. Unlike the match against Bravo, the referees will have the assistance of VAR tonight, with Slovenians Nejc Kajtazović and Asmir Sagrković assisting the Irish team from the VAR room.

Fans

HŠK Zrinjski Mostar once again strongly appeals to fans to refrain from any form of inappropriate behavior during tonight’s match against Botev, especially from using pyrotechnics and throwing objects onto the field, given that the conditional penalty of playing one match behind closed doors from the previous season is still in effect.
