In yesterday’s triumph against Zvijezda 09 (4:0), our captain Nemanja Bilbija reached his 250th official appearance wearing the HŠK Zrinjski jersey, marking it with two new goals that made him the top scorer in the history of the “Plemići,” reaching a total of 156 goals in the jersey of the eight-time champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bilbija thus further approached the record of Pero Stojkić, who ended his career with a record 257 appearances wearing the armband.
Bilbija made his debut in the Zrinjski jersey at the start of the spring part of the 2015/2016 season against Sarajevo (2:2), immediately scoring his first goal. After winning three championship titles and making 100 official appearances at the beginning of 2019, he continued his career in the South Korean club Gangwon.
He returned to Zrinjski twelve months later, winning two more championship titles and one cup with the club. In his last 150 appearances, he found the net an impressive 112 times. Besides becoming the all-time leading scorer for the “Plemići,” Bilbija has also become the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Premier League.
