Our players took to the field before yesterday’s match wearing “Sportske igre mladih BiH” shirts, joining the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other clubs in supporting the largest amateur sports event in Europe, which celebrates its founding day on May 21st.
Over the past fourteen years in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Games have brought together over 500,000 boys and girls. This year, competitions will be held in 46 cities across the country.
The Games promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage participation in sports, the development of friendships, tolerance, and fair play. These values have been recognized by numerous ambassadors of the project, including Aleksander Čeferin, Edin Džeko, Luka Modrić, Nemanja Vidić, Nemanja Matić, Predrag Mijatović, Darijo Srna, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
In addition to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sportske igre mladih are also held in Croatia, Serbia, and, starting this year, Slovenia.
